I know, every post on this blog seems to have word FREE in it. I talk about free DB2 Express-C, free book on DB2 Express-C, free Data Studio and a free webinar to go with it. Well, what did you expect from a blog that has “FREE” in its name. The subject of this short post is the virtual class on DB2. And you guessed it, it is free. So click on this link and get a bit more detail on Susan Visser’s [...] When we wrote the tag line for DB2 Express-C“Free to build, deploy, distribute … no limits” we meant every word of it. But, it seems there are quite a few skeptics out there and questions like “how big can a server be” and “can it be a virtual server” keep coming up. DB2 Express-C can be deployed on a server of any size. This applies to amount of memory, number of processor cores and amount of storage. If you have your hands on a server with half a terabyte of memory and 64 processor cores with a petabyte [...] I am not very good at impressions so I am going to spare you my curious reader the pain and agony of me doing this famous line from one of my favorite movies. I will cut right to the chase. Next week about 6000 people are going to gather in Las Vegas at the IBM IOD conference.
