The forcast for databases is partly cloudy

The current economic climate is going to dramatically accelerate the adoption of the Cloud Computing. Utility computing just makes good economic sense. Most of us would not think of buying a generator to power our houses; we get our electricity from the grid. I don’t see why we should not be thinking about getting our computing capacity the same way.
