There is a discussion thread on LinkedIN IDUG NA group with a number of people chiming in about how many IDUG (International DB2 User Group) events they’ve participated in. The demise of the open source fanatic

I spent the last week in Portland at the O’Reilly Open Source Convention also known as OSCON. We were part of the IBM exhibit talking to people about DB2 Express-C. OSCON is an interesting conference. Basically it is a big lovefest for the open source guys. Imagine about 2500 geeks all assembled in a single place for a week to talk about free software.
