Hi Leon,

This article sounds very interesting from a project manager point of view, I would like to read more about it and especially the comments on the article, as I see fear in the eyes of my friends and peers about the "cloud". You are the 2nd person that I know, who is seeing it differently. Not to mentioned the name of a fortune 500 company which recently moved all it's production databases into the cloud, I kind of sensed in the beginning there's going to be some kind of workforce reduction in that company, but I was wrong. In-fact it hired another 3 DBAs to handle the maintenance and to speed-up the ongoing projects and also streamlined the new projects that are approved after POC. The cloud is going to make developers and DBAs more busy and most of all the management will have to be more creative to make smart decisions on their respective product front. I have a question for you on security on the cloud "How safe is the cloud", can you put user related data in the cloud and feel safe about it?

Happy IDUG

Regards
